Good Times
For over 20 years in our house, the first week of October (and sometimes weeks before) is the time Halloween costumes are planned out in great detail. My 3 daughters and their best friends decide what they are going to dress up as for Halloween. We have had many themes come and go: 80's prom, modern day Disney princess, Wizard of Oz, Wicked, Mario and many more. This year it is Arthur book characters. So this is how it goes....they decide on a theme and then we scower all the local thrift stores looking for items to make the costumes.
Would it be easier to go to Party City and buy a complete brand-new costume...YES! But we want to look authentic...not mass produced! It is time-consuming and challenging but many special memories have happened along the way!
So whether you creatively piece your costumes or purchase a store ensemble, take time to make memories along the way and enjoy the good times together! Happy Fall!
Lovin' Life.....Livin' the dream!
